There are no two ways about it – The North Cornwall coastline is a very tasty holiday destination indeed. Cornwall tantalises the taste buds & shocks the senses, blowing your mind as you devour tradition & tenacity, benevolence & beauty.

Cornwall is a foodie’s fantasy and we thought it about time to bring together some of the best foodie events that our area has to offer over the coming year. Check out some of our favourites.

The countdown has begun to the annual Beer and Mussel Festival at The Cornish Arms in St. Merryn. As well as over 40 different beers and ciders on offer, there’s an even bigger line up of live entertainment including cooking demonstrations & music from Motown Pirates and The Stowes.

This unique weekend event takes place at Watergate Bay near Newquay, with the promise of speed and excitement featuring some of the country’s top professional polo players. Knock that back with a large helping of local food & drink and you’re set for a phenomenal weekend of action.

Cornwall’s showcase since 1793 and a fascinating glimpse into rural life. The Royal Cornwall Show simply buzzes with everything from livestock judging to famous flower tents, show jumping to beer tents, not to mention some of the best grub the county has to offer.

A midsummer celebration of food, music and art. After a wonderful 5 years at Dinham Farm, Rock Oyster Festival is making a move across the river for 2017. The festival will now take place in a stunning riverside location just outside Wadebridge.

Whilst the 2017 date is yet to be confirmed, this local festival always offers a feast for the senses. Celebrating the River Camel that flows through the heart of Wadebridge, it is an event for all the family and all ages. With a highly entertaining raft race, first class food and a selection of music and events, it’s a great day out for everyone.

This will be the second year that the Padstow Seafood & Beer Festival has graced the town. The 2017 dates are yet to be confirmed but this showcase of the best in local food, drink & live music in aid of charity for the National Lobster Hatchery is sure not to disappoint. If you’re here for the school summer holidays, make sure you pay a visit.
